Drinking at work could boost your career

Looking to climb the corporate ladder? Perhaps try grabbing a drink with your boss.
A new survey found that 49 percent of professionals believe that workplace drinking strengthens work relationships, with a quarter of them (24 percent) saying that it led to better job opportunities.
Rehab center Niznik Behavioral Health commissioned the survey, which questioned 1,000 full-time employees across America.
“One thing that stood out is drinking with superiors is actually seen as not only acceptable but as a competitive advantage,” Joe Romano, a rep at Niznik Behavioral Health, told The Post.
“While fear of judgment and peer pressure is still prevalent, these findings are surprising because the employee-supervisor relationship is traditionally a formal one, but our data is showing that we are moving toward a more lax relationship that is actually beneficial for employees.”
