Oscars 2019: The Best of the Red Carpet

Although the 2019 Oscars has shaped up to be one of the most unpredictable award ceremonies in recent memory, one thing is certain—the red carpet can always be counted on for dazzling gowns, jaw-dropping jewelry and future fashion trends.

Several leading ladies were beautiful in pink—by far the biggest color trend of the night—including Helen Mirren (in Giambattista Valli), Kacey Musgraves (in Valentino), Gemma Chan (also in Valentino) and Linda Cardellini (inSchiaparelli).

Metallic gowns shone on the red carpet with Emma Stone (in Louis Vuitton) Emilia Clarke (in custom Balmain), Jennifer Lopez (in Tom Ford) and Michelle Yeoh (in Elie Saab).

A few funny women showed who wears the pants (and occasionally the pantsuit) in Hollywood, including Amy Poehler (in Alberta Ferretti), Awkwafina (in Dsquared2) and Melissa McCarthy (in Brandon Maxwell).
