U of I Extension to host severe weather webinar

A free severe weather webinar will be held from 1:30 to 3 p.m. April 25 at the University of Illinois Extension Boone County, 205 Cadillac Court.
Attendees will learn about tornadoes, thunderstorms, lightning and other types of severe weather.
Extension educator and weather instructor Duane Friend will cover current research on tornadoes and lightning; types of tornadoes and thunderstorms; information on tornadic winds, damage and protection, and facts on tornadoes, thunderstorms and lightning.
