UD faculty reach 6 million reads on expert articles

“The Conversation strives to amplify the voices of experts like those at the University of Dayton who spend their careers researching a topic,” said Michelle McAdams, university relationship manager. “Our goal is to connect academics and the public so readers have fact-based information in a time when too often the loudest and most divisive voices dominate.”
Since the Conversation’s launch, 76 UD faculty have contributed 167 articles. They’ve been read on websites like CNN.com, PBS, U.S. News & World Report, Popular Science, the Smithsonian and more.
“An important part of being a university for the common good is making the fruits of faculty scholarship and creative work widely accessible,” said Paul H. Benson, provost and executive vice president of academic affairs. “It takes a good deal of time, thought and energy to write these articles, and we thank our faculty for their commitment to improving the quality of public understanding and discourse.”
