Helen Skelton’s ‘iconic’ revenge dance thrills Strictly Come Dancing fans

Helen Skelton has been cheered on by Strictly Come Dancing fans who called her “revenge” dance in he quarter final “iconic”.
The Countryfile presenter and her dance partner Gorka Marquez performed a couple’s choice routine to Mein Herr from Cabaret in the show’s musicals week, which went down a storm with viewers.
Skelton’s co-stars and the audience screamed and cheered as the star, dressed in a black leotard, danced to the musical hit with lyrics including: “Farewell, mein lieber herr/It was a fine affair, but now it’s over/And though I used to care, I need the open air/You’re better off without me, mein herr.”
In April, Skelton’s husband Richie Myler left her when their third child was just four months old and soon afterwards confirmed he was in a relationship with someone else.
The TV presenter’s routine included waving at the camera and enthusiastically singing along to the line: “You’re better off without me, mein herr.”
Strictly’s other dancers cheered her on as judge Shirley Ballas told her: “Are you really a mummy of three?”
Motsi Mabuse added: “The name of the song is Mein Herr because it’s all about him, but today it’s Meine Dame because it’s all about you.”
One viewer tweeted: “I hope Helen’s ex-husband is having the worst time watching as she lives her absolute best life smashing this routine, go on girl.”
